La Gomera - Tropical Garden - July 2019

Whilst on a family holiday on the remote island of La Gomera in The Canaries I managed to slip away a few times with my camera to explore the tropical garden at El Balcón de Santa Ana. I have no interest in photographing plants to faithfully record their beautiful forms and colours. Rather, I found the incredible and unusual (at least for me) shapes and textures were crying out for me to see how I could present them in monochrome, discarding all colour.
