Whilst Out and About ...

Towards the end of 2019 I found my ageing iPhone needed to be replaced. Around the same time I concluded that I wanted to upgrade my ageing pocket camera. I was on the verge of replacing both when I became aware of the impressive progress made with the quality of camera phone images. After some investigation I concluded that a high specification camera phone would mean that I might be able to use it for both purposes - as a phone (etc) and as a camera. I particularly wanted a good pocket camera as I often see images when I don’t have my Sony A7R3 with me. I purchased an iPhone 11 Max Pro and didn’t buy a pocket camera. After 8 months I concluded that I'd made an excellent decision. Not only did I spend less that I would have buying 2 devices, I now have a camera with me every minute of the day. The images in this gallery bear no relation to each other apart from their having been taken with my 12MP iPhone. They are simply a selection of images taken “Whilst Out and About” which otherwise I would never have taken.

And now in 2024 I have an iPhone15 Max Pro - a 48MP RAW file wonder.
